These benefactors save the lives of our furry best friends every day, and the American Humane Hero Veterinarian and Hero Veterinary Nurse Awards™, sponsored by Zoetis Petcare, honor their achievements.
After more than 300 nominations were submitted from animal lovers across the nation, a blue-ribbon judging panel of veterinary professionals and animal care experts selected 10 of the country’s top veterinarians and veterinary nurses as finalists. These finalists are champions of animal welfare who are dedicated to the betterment of the health and welfare of animals and the promotion of the human-animal bond. They work day and night, often behind the scenes and with little public recognition of the lifesaving roles they play. We aim to put a spotlight on their vital work.
