American Humane Provides Critical Funding to Animals Impacted by Ukraine Crisis

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, March 22, 2022 — American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, today announced a second grant to the International Fund for Animal Welfare in support of its effort to help animal shelter partners and wildlife sanctuaries in Ukraine.

“American Humane is no stranger to times of crisis or conflict when it comes to fighting for our animal friends. Since our founding, we have been on the frontlines providing support and helping to ensure animals caught in war-torn regions are kept safe,” said Dr. Robin Ganzert, president and CEO of American Humane. “Thanks to our supporters, we are providing an additional, critical grant to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, which is helping shelters in need across Ukraine. We continue to pray for the end to this senseless crisis and stand ready to help the innocent animals caught in this tragic war on humanity.”
