Spokane County Wildfires
In times of crisis, it is the strength of a community that shines through the darkest of days.
Since August 23rd, American Humane’s rescue team has been on the ground in Spokane, Washington, providing critical support to animals and their families affected by the devastating wildfires.
We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support from friends like you, which enabled us to respond quickly and make a meaningful impact. We’ve put together a video highlighting the heartfelt gratitude directed toward our rescue team during our deployment.
From helping Stefanie, Freyja, and their horse Quora, to assisting the Knudsen family with their goats, Huey and Louie, your support has been instrumental in providing comfort and care to those most in need.
Right now, we are closely monitoring Hurricane Idalia, which has made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm. Our teams and rescue trucks are at the ready to provide aid and support to those affected by the hurricane.
We also want to share some great news – American Humane has made a $10,000 grant to the Maui Humane Society, an organization responsible for animals in the wake of devastating wildfires in Maui. They continue to do incredible work helping as many people, pets, and lost animals as possible, and we are proud to support their efforts.
Thank you for your continued support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
