Dear Friends,
As the leaves turn and we welcome the crisp days of fall, I am delighted to share the latest edition of American Humane Society’s newsletter with you. This season, we have so much to celebrate and share, from inspiring stories of heroism to milestones in our mission to protect and care for animals.
In this issue, you’ll read about the incredible Kiessling Prize honorees, the continued success of our Pups4Patriots™ program, and the exciting opening of our new Brussels office, expanding our global reach to promote animal welfare. We also spotlight generous supporters like Coleman All Natural Meats and the MITER Foundation, whose contributions help bring hope, healing and companionship to veterans, retired first responders, and the animals who enrich our lives.
With the holiday season approaching, we invite you to explore ways to set a humane table for your family. From our American Humane Certified™ products to our cookbook The Humane Table: Cooking with Compassion, these resources make it easier to celebrate with kindness and care. And looking ahead, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my upcoming cookbook celebrating international dishes from around the world, a project that reflects Global Humane Society’s mission to promote compassion for animals everywhere.
This fall also brings exciting updates from our No Animals Were Harmed™ program, which continues to safeguard the humane treatment of animals on film and television sets. Great storytelling and animal welfare can, and should, go hand in hand, and we’re proud to monitor some of this season’s most anticipated releases.
As we celebrate all that we have accomplished together this year, please know we have exciting plans to care for an even greater number of animals in the year ahead! I invite you to join our special, year-end giving campaign: Giving Unleashed. Thanks to a generous donor who has offered a matching gift of $250,000, your gift will be doubled during the month of December! Unleash hope this holiday season!
Thank you for being a vital part of our work. Every story, every program and every achievement in this newsletter reflects the dedication of people like you who care deeply about animals and the humans whose lives they touch. Together, we can continue to make the world a safer, kinder place for all creatures.
With gratitude and warm regards,

Robin R. Ganzert, Ph.D.
