This year marked a pivotal moment in our journey, including a new era as the American Humane Society and a refreshed logo that symbolizes our enduring mission and evolving vision. Each of you—our supporters, advocates, and partners—has been integral to this transformation, helping us create a more compassionate world for animals. This American Humane Society Impact Report celebrates not only our new brand identity but also the remarkable stories of hope, resilience, and triumph – made possible by your unwavering dedication to our cause.
Our lifesaving work knows no bounds, from the windswept savannas of South Africa, where cheetahs and their cubs find sanctuary, to Brazilian forests where our 2024 Wolfgang Kiessling Prize winner, Dr. Arnaud Desbiez, works to protect giant anteaters. In moments of crisis—such as Hurricane Helene and Milton that devastated our southern states—we have been there, delivering critical care and helping to ensure brighter tomorrows for animals in need.
This year, we expanded our global impact, safeguarding wildlife across six continents and helped protect animals across more farms and zoological facilities. We also celebrated the premiere of our second documentary, Escape from Extinction Rewilding, narrated by the legendary Meryl Streep, which spotlights critical conservation efforts to protect endangered species worldwide.
