Detailed Animal Action Report

In the scene where the soldiers invade a building and they walk through a herd of cattle, the set was a post-apocalyptic dirt road through a dilapidated factory. The road was lined with a combination of real rubble and larger foam rubble. The sides of the street had trainers dressed as extras. On action, the herd of cows was led down the street by trainers dressed as extras, each with one cow on lead. The actors turned down a side passage as the herd continued forward. The end position was another circular area for them to turn around. The cows got used to the action fairly quickly.

In the same scene we see goats and a dog in the vicinity, both were brought to the set by their trainers and given water and shade between takes.
