While You Were Sleeping
Detailed Animal Action Report
Animal action is mild. In the beginning of the film, a flock of pigeons in the park flies up and away. While Lucy hauls her Christmas tree up outside the window with a rope, her cat Mel lies on the couch, curiously watching her. From her window, Lucy and Mel watch Jack walk down the street. In Peter’s apartment, his beautiful Persian cat slinks into the room. Lucy sees it and scoops the cat up and talks to it. She puts out food for the cat. As the cat eats the food, Lucy pets it. As Lucy dresses for her hospital wedding, her cat Mel sits and watches her. A representative of the Chicago Anti-Cruelty to Animals was on the set during filming of the cats.
