Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael (1990)
Dinky, a lonely and rebellious teenager, is obsessed with the image of Roxy Carmichael. Fifteen years ago, Roxy abandoned her newborn baby, her husband, and her small town existence to seek fame and fortune. She found her wealth and success when she was mentioned in the lyrics of a hit tune and received the royalties. Now her home town is anxiously preparing for her triumphant return. No one has greater anticipation for the homecoming of the illusive Roxy than Dinky, who was adopted and fantasizes that Roxy is her real mother.
Animal actors in this production were monitored through American Humane Society’s No Animals Were Harmed® program.

Detailed Animal Action Report
Dinky loves animals and shelters an assortment of unwanted orphans on an ark she maintains on an abandoned boat. Her ragtag menagerie includes a pig, goat, turtle and several dogs. When one of her little dogs gets it’s paw caught between the rickety floor boards, Dinky gently frees him (the paw was not really caught). In order to make another dog appear mangy, his fur was clipped unevenly. Makeup was used to make a turtle appear as if its shell was broken.
