There are a few scenes where a Rottweiler is seen barking or snarling while in his fenced-in back yard or in his home. The dog was trained to bark or snarl when cued with verbal commands. In another scene, two police officers, Al and Sandy, are inspecting Lyle’s home when the dog jumps out of a closet at Al, knocking him and the dog to the floor. This scene was shot in cuts. The dog was trained to jump up to a person to receive a hug. A stunt-double was used and because of the massive size of the dog, the stuntman fell backwards when the dog jumped at him.
