Sliver (1993)
Sliver is a suspenseful murder mystery set in New York. Carlie Norris, a writer, has just been recently divorced. She moves into a plush high-rise where she discovers the previous tenant had jumped off the balcony to her death. This was not the first “accident” that has happened at this building, and will not be the last. Carlie becomes involved with Zeke, the reclusive owner of the building. The more intimate they become, the more Carlie realizes that Zeke may be the one responsible for all of the accidents that occur in this “Horror High-rise.” Carlie, Zeke and one of the other tenants have a confrontation where the tenant is trying to warn Carlie how dangerous Zeke actually is. A struggle ensues and Carlie shoots the tenant dead, in order to save Zeke’s life. Carlie is in too deep to turn back now, but does she really want to?
