Serious Man, A (2009)
In the 1960s, a proud Jewish Minnesotan struggles to keep his family and marriage together while his pesky brother annoys everyone in the house by being a freeloader who won’t move out of their living room.
Animal actors in this production were monitored through American Humane Society’s No Animals Were Harmed™ program.
Serious Man, A
Detailed Animal Action Report
Velvel (Allen Lewis Rickman) leads his horse and cart down a deserted street as snow falls. The actor was instructed on the handling of the horse ahead of time. A snow machine provided the snow, and synthetic fabric was placed on the street under some crushed ice to provide better footing. The trainer attached the cart before filming began.
