At 11:30pm on October 11, 1975, a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television forever. This is the story of what happened behind the scenes in the 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live.

In the scene where we pan through the halls and we pass a man whispering to a llama, prior to shooting, the wranglers walked the llama walked to set. On action, the actor pet the llama and whispered in its ear. The llama remained in this position displaying natural behavior for the duration of the scene. Upon completion of the scene the llama was taken outside and placed in the van with access to hay and water.
In the scene where the actor walks onto a television set and passes a woman with a snake wrapped around her shoulders, prior to shooting the scene the snake was removed from its container. The wranglers placed the snake around the shoulders and arms of the actress. The actress was placed on the mark within the set where she remains standing. On action she walked from A to B with the snake wrapped around her arms.
