Certified Animal Action Overview

No Animals Were Harmed™ proudly oversaw every moment of animal action in this film to guarantee the best standards of safety and care. From the cozy motel scenes to a massive yard, all animals were treated with kindness and respect. Before the camera rolled, trainers introduced the dog and goose to their human co-stars, helping them build familiarity. Whether it was a dog calmly being placed on the floor or a goose waddling over for a snack, every moment was guided by professionals to encourage natural behavior in a safe, stress-free environment. The result is animal performances that feel authentic, and most importantly, achieved with compassion.

Detailed Animal Action Report

In the scene, where the actor knocks on a motel room door and an actress opens it holding a dog, prior to filming the trainer brought the dog to the set in a crate. He took the dog out of the crate and placed him in the actress’ hands. The actress already met the dog prior to filming the scene so they were acquainted. They filmed the actress holding the dog with a natural effect.

In another scene that takes place in the same setting, the main actor is talking to a man and woman inside the motel room. One of them hands the actor money as the girl sits on the bed holding the dog. Trainers were off-camera, cuing the dog to remain calm throughout the scene.

In the scene where the actor sits in a yard and feeds a goose that waddles up to him, prior to shooting the scene, the wrangler carried the goose from the holding area to his mark. The actor and the goose were acclimated with each other before shooting the scene, and the actor was given instructions on how to feed the goose. On action, the actor approached the goose and held feed out in his hand which the goose ate. After they filmed the scene, they brought the goose back to the holding area.
