No Animals Were Harmed™ carefully monitored the filming of this scene to help ensure the cat remained comfortable and secure throughout production. Before cameras rolled, the cat was gently settled into its familiar bed on the counter, while an experienced animal trainer stayed discreetly nearby using a lightweight safety line that remained out of view. As the actors carried on their conversation, the cat simply relaxed in place, displaying calm, natural behavior without being asked to perform any unnatural actions. The scene was completed under the close supervision of the animal team, with the cat’s well-being and comfort guiding every step of the process.

Detailed Animal Action Report

In the scene where the actor walks into corner market, and talks to guy behind the counter and there’s a cat in a small bed on the counter, prior to filming the trainers brough the cat to the set and placed the cat in his bed. Then the wrangler tied a long piece of fishing line to his collar and draped the end of the line over the edge of the counter. Then the wrangler hid behind the counter and held the fishing line as a leash. On action, the actor approached the counter, exchanged lines with the actor behind the counter as the cat lied calmly in the bed and the wrangler hid behind the counter.
