Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scene where a fox wanders through a wooded area, the fox was brought to the set by the trainer. Treats were tossed about the filming area. Trainers also used a bait stick with chicken to get Tanner to look in different directions
In the scene where we see the fox caught in a cage, rummaging in the dirt, the fox was led into the cage after all the rehearsals with the actress and cameras were set and ready. The trainer placed treats in the trap, which had a door on one side for the fox to enter through. On action, the fox was in the cage eating treats. During this series, production captured close-ups of the fox in the cage. Production filmed the remaining scene without the live fox, using a piece of fur cloth in the cage.
Due to limited resources, American Humane Association did not monitor any of the maggot action.
