Lisa Frankenstein (2024)

In 1989, a misunderstood teenager has a high school crush — who just happens to be a handsome corpse! After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness…and a few missing body parts along the way.

Animal actors in this production were monitored through American Humane Society’s No Animals Were Harmed® program.

Detailed Animal Action Report

In the scene where the actor is taking a shower and there’s a worm near the drain, they closed the sink drain for the entire duration of filming. Trainers brought the worm inside the shower and placed it near the drain. During filming, the trainer stood off-camera in case he needed to get it. The flow of water was controlled, by using a water pitcher to pour water, instead of the constant flow of water from the shower, to keep the worms safe.

The two birds in the chandelier were fake, documentation was sent to American Humane’s office.

In the scene where the actors are about to make love and a centipede falls on girl’s chest, the bug wrangler remained in very close proximity of the millipede during filming, to step in if needed. On action, the millipede was dropped from a safe distance, of no more than 6 inches. The actors were instructed to remain still after the millipede was dropped, until it could be removed and reset by the trainer, to prevent accidental injury. The area around the actress was padded, in case millipede rolled off after being dropped.

Due to schedule changes, American Humane did not monitor some of the worm and millipede action.
