Limbo is a story set in a small Alaskan fishing town that is in turmoil as the salmon industry starts to die. The working – class hero falls for a lounge singer as lives fall out of balance.

This film strikes a balance by fusing together documentary and fictional film footage to create the reality of the salmon industry in a small Alaskan town. The film shows the workings of a salmon packing plant, but animal performers in this picture were not harmed. Some real life commercial fishing activities were included and were conducted in accordance with the standards and regulations applicable to the Alaskan fishing industry.
