L.A. Story (1991)

L.A. Story is a romantic fantasy that satirizes life in Los Angeles. Harris K. Telemacher is an unmarried T.V. weatherman who doesn’t realize how unhappy he is because he’s so happy most of the time. It takes a freeway traffic sign to make Harris realize his plight. Via it’s own form of sign language, it dispenses advice to Harris by rearranging it’s lighted letters. Harris dumps his beautiful but materialistic girlfriend so that he can pursue a more idyllic relationship with the lovely Sarah, a journalist who’s just arrived from London. The road to true love has some amusing obstacles but the sign is always there to keep Harris on course. Much of the humor will probably be lost to anyone unfamiliar with L.A. lifestyles.

Animal actors in this production were monitored through American Humane Society’s No Animals Were Harmed™ program.

Detailed Animal Action Report

Animal action is simple. Harris has a pet cat who is present as atmosphere in several scenes. White doves enhance an ethereal scene by surrounding and fluttering about the two lovers as they walk near a garden fountain. A deer is seen briefly standing in a yard.
