Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scene where the pig runs through the forest and slips into a trapdoor with the Raptors being released behind them, the Raptors will of course be CGI. The action for the pig was running from point A to B. Two trainers were placed at opposite ends of the forest area. On action, one trainer let the pig go, while the other trainer used a sound buzzer to call the pig to him. Although it looks as if there’s a catch pole tied around the pig’s neck, that pole was added in post by CGI. The trees were shook by special effects who had lines and ropes tied to the trees. Pigs were given water breaks and were hosed down in between shots to keep them as cool as possible.
In the scene where the man feeds the dead rats to the dinosaurs, the rats were fake.
In the scene where we see a goat tied to a post in the middle of a field, trainers brought the goat to set, they filmed him, and they watered and fed him between takes.
In the scenes in the lab where we see lizards and other amphibians in the aquariums in the background, the trainers placed the amphibians in the tanks, and made sure the temperature in the room was cool.
The shark that was eaten by the dinosaur was CGI. All the birds seen in the movie were either filmed in their natural habitat or created by CGI.
