Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scene where we see the procession being led from the White House with the horses and carriage, the six horses were harnessed and hooked to the carriage and ridden to a side entrance. The horses wore shoes with studs for good footing on the concrete and asphalt surfaces. Streets were closed to all traffic during the use of the horses. Actual trained U.S. Army soldiers rode them.
