Iron Maze
Iron Maze is a dark drama of friendship, a love triangle, attempted murder and lost dreams, in a small town that died when their steel mill closed down. This story involves Sugita, a wealthy Japanese businessman, who buys the town wanting to tear down the steel mill and put in an amusement park. Barry, a town tough guy, and Chris, Sugita’s wife, who become romantically involved which eventually leads to the attempted murder of Sugita, also involving nine- year-old Mikey, who would do anything for his hero, Barry.
Detailed Animal Action Report
Animal action in the film is very mild. In one scene we see a cat running through the steel mill and in another Mikey is petting the cat. In this scene the cat’s trainer placed a leash on the cat then the leash was attached to two wooden blocks to prohibit the cat from running away while being petted. While the Sheriff is speaking to Chris on the phone, he absent-mindedly plays with a spider, pushing it with his pencil from side to side. The spider was never harmed. In another scene a St. Bernard standing on the roof of a house is barking, as if to tell everyone in town it was time to get up.
