Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scene where police cars pull up to an apartment building and there’s a man walking a dog in the background, prior to filming, trainers brought two dogs on leashes to their marks on the sidewalk. On action, the police cars drove along a road without sirens sounding and turned into a driveway. The dogs were located a safe distance from the police cars.
In the scene where the actor walks through a lobby and we see a background actor with his dog, background extras walked their dogs from the holding area to the set. Prior to shooting, the AD helped position the handlers and dogs on their marks. After they got the shot, the handlers walked their dogs on leashes back to their holding area.
In the scene where the actor walks into a basement and encounters a pitbull chained to a pole before he runs past him, the scene was filmed in a hallway of a basement in an apartment building. Prior to filming, the trainer placed the dog on his mark and placed a rubber chain to a pole. On action, when the actor ran past dog and the trainer cued the dog to bark at him.
