Certified Animal Action Overview
No Animals Were Harmed™ during the making of this film every step of the way, the safety and well-being of the dog was a top priority. Before the cameras rolled, the dog was gently introduced to the actors to ensure familiarity. During filming, a professional trainer remained just out of frame, guiding the dog with calm cues while keeping its focus. The dog’s interaction with the actors was natural and relaxed, with plenty of praise and water breaks between takes.
Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scene where the actress walks outside her house to throw away the trash and sees a man walking his dog, and both actors lean down and pet the dog, prior to shooting the scene the dog was introduced to the actors. On action, the actor walked the dog fifteen feet and stopped, while the wrangler stood outside the frame in the driveway in the dog’s eyeline. While filming the wrangler cued the dog to stay and after a few beats of dialogue the actress bent down and handed the dog. The trainers gave the dog water between takes.
