In the scene where the cat is standing on the kitchen counter and the actor picks him, places him on the ground and feeds him, trainers were off camera, cuing the cat with hand signals.
In the scene where the actress is cooking while the cat stands on the opposite counter, trainers were off camera making sure the cat didn’t go near the hotplate.
Due to late notification and/or limited resources, American Humane Association did not monitor any of the deer action and some of the cat action.
