Evening Star is the sequel to Terms Of Endearment. It is the on going saga about Aurora and the way she deals with life, love, and raising her deceased daughter’s children.

There is a brief shot of a prison guard on a horse outside the facility where Aurora’s grandson, Tommy, is incarcerated. The horse and rider are merely standing outside the gates to the prison. Aurora’s granddaughter, Melanie, has a bird and the bird is seen a few times in its cage either being carried by the girl, or in the background at her apartment.
