Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scenes where we see the mouse in the aquarium, the mouse was brought to the set by her trainer in a small cage and placed in the terrarium on the dresser. On action, two actors on set engage in dialogue with a third actor who enters through the front door. The mouse was background only in the terrarium. Through the scene the trainers were out of frame. Following the shot the mouse was caged and removed from the set.
In another scene where the actor knocks over the aquarium and the mouse runs under the couch, like before the mouse was brought to the set by her trainer. A urine soaked wire was laid down from a camera on the floor to a plastic box with a hole located under the couch. The mouse ran the wire several times before the wire was removed. On action the mouse was placed at the camera toward the couch and released. The mouse followed the urine scented wire towards the couch. The wire was then reset and the mouse was filmed with the wire down traveling a to b and into the box. They captured footage of the mouse running down the wire several times before wrapping her.
