Cupid (1996)

Cupid is a film about Eric Ross, a man obsessed with the mythological story of Cupid and Psyche. Eric believes there is one true mate for everyone and through destiny he will find that one woman to spend eternity with. When he meets Tracy he immediately believes that she is the one and starts courting her, killing anyone that gets in his way. Just when Eric believes that everything is falling into place, Tracy uncovers facts which reveal Eric as the one responsible for all of the deaths occurring around her.

Detailed Animal Action Report

Eric has a love bird and he is seen in his cage. Later, two love birds are seen in the cage, as Eric purchased the male a mate. The next day the mate is seen lying on the floor of the cage, dead. Real and fake birds were used for this scene. Real birds were placed in the cage for the establishing shots. A fake bird was placed in the cage for the shot of the bird dead in the cage.
