Detailed Animal Action Report
In the scene where the actors encounter a woman walking her dog in a bucolic town, the dog was walked to set and path was cleared. Prior to shooting the dog was walked around the sidewalk and allowed to acclimate to the surroundings. On action, the actress simply walked the dog down the street.
In the scene when the car passed an empty parking lot where we see five dogs running across the lot, the dogs were walked to set. The trainers held the dogs at the “A” mark in a wire pen. Another trainer was positioned along the path, hiding behind a vehicle.
Other trainers were located at the “B” mark with a wire pen. On action, the trainers unleashed the dogs and the other trainers called them to the other side of the lot.
Upon completion of the scene the dogs were taken back to the owners’ vehicle at the end of the day.
