Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery is about Austin Powers, a British agent in the 70’s, who stopped Dr. Evil from taking over the world. However, Dr. Evil got away and froze himself so he could return in the future. Always determined to catch his prey, Austin had the agency freeze him and he is released thirty years later when Dr. Evil reappears.
Animal actors in this production were monitored through American Humane Society’s No Animals Were Harmed™ program.

Detailed Animal Action Report
Dr. Evil has a cat and he is seen in several scenes holding the cat while he is sitting in a chair, walking A to B and in his freezing machine. When Dr. Evil thaws, the cat is seen without any hair, leaving one to believe that something went wrong during the freezing process. The trainer placed the cat on his mark and retrieved him at completion of the shot. A sphinx cat, rare and naturally hairless, was used for the scenes of the cat after the thawing process. A fake stuffed cat was used for the shots of the cat frozen.
