The Honest Kitchen Helps Fund American Humane Society’s Lifesaving Second Chance® Grant Program

American Humane Society, the United States’ first national humane organization and the world’s largest certifier of animal welfare practices, announced today that The Honest Kitchen is the official 2025-2026 supporter of American Humane Society’s Second Chance® Grant Program. This is the second consecutive year that The Honest Kitchen has been the official supporter of the program.

The Honest Kitchen is a leading provider of healthy, high quality, human grade pet food made with real, whole food ingredients. With a mission to put pets on the path to good health, the brand has a history of “Pawlanthropy” and charitable giving to pets in need.

The Honest Kitchen has awarded American Humane Society support that provides financial assistance to help offset the critical costs of rescued animals who are homeless or the victims of human cruelty.

“We are deeply thankful for The Honest Kitchen’s ongoing support of our Second Chance Grant program,” said Dr. Robin Ganzert, President and CEO of American Humane Society. “Their unwavering commitment to compassion is helping rescue, care for and protect animals in crisis—offering them the second chances they so deserve and allowing us to extend our lifesaving work to even more communities in need.”

Every year, countless animals suffer deplorable abuse and neglect. The Second Chance Grant program helps local shelters and rescue groups that are often saddled with the steep expenses of saving, sheltering, and caring for these animals in desperate need.

“Second Chance Grant is an incredible program, and we’re honored to help support some of the most vulnerable and neglected pets on their paths to living happy and healthy lives,” said Lucy Postins, Founder and Chief Integrity Officer at The Honest Kitchen. “As a brand that cares deeply about the humane treatment of all animals, we know that love and good food are critical in order for them to get there, and we’re proud to help support with the care they need.”
