WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, April 7, 2020 — American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, today announced that Animal Response Foundation, Inc. is a recipient of American Humane’s Feed the Hungry grant. Located in Somerville, Tennessee, ARF, Inc. aids animal victims of cruelty, neglect and disasters.
ARF, Inc. provides assistance in western Tennessee when invited in by law enforcement to aid in animal handling during animal cruelty seizures and disasters, emergency animal transportation and emergency animal sheltering. The organization also works to provide educational opportunities to animal shelters, law enforcement and the public regarding both large (horse) and small (dog and cat) animal handling and emergency preparedness in disaster and emergency situations. The Feed the Hungry grant will allow ARF, Inc. to continue to feed and care for the many animals they rescue.
