Biography

Kerry joined American Humane in May 2019 as National Director, Companion Animals and Government Affairs. In that capacity, she oversees companion animal certification programs and state, federal and international government relations for the organization.

Kerry has a dynamic background and over 20 years of experience in government affairs, public relations, corporate associations and retail management. Prior to American Humane, she spent nine years as a leader in the pet industry. She has also served as a Vice President of Marketing for a global training and development firm and Director of Communications for a public relations firm.

Chosen by Pet Age magazine as a 2019 Woman of Influence, she currently sits on the board of the World Pet Association and is co-chair of the Pet Industry Joint Council’s government affairs committee.

Kerry has her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Goucher College in Baltimore, Md. She lives in Florida with her family and two dogs.
