Emily Weiss, PhD, CAAB
Biography
Emily Weiss, PhD, CAAB, is the Senior Director of shelter behavior programs for the ASPCA. She has devoted her career to animal welfare, first working in the zoo field, and then in the shelter environment. Dr. Weiss developed the SAFER test, a behavior evaluation used by shelters, trainers, and behaviorists across the country. Dr. Weiss also developed the ASPCA Meet Your MatchTM adoption program which focuses on improving the matching process for shelter animals and their future guardians.
