Meet Harrison
Harrison is Caldwell County’s first electronics scent detection (ESD) K-9 and one of only a few certified dogs of his kind in North Carolina. Specially trained to locate hidden electronic devices, Harrison plays a critical role in uncovering digital evidence essential to a wide range of criminal investigations but focuses on helping investigators in Internet Crimes Against Children cases. Beyond his investigative work, he serves as a source of comfort, a joy to children at community events and strengthens the relationship between law enforcement and the public.
What moment best shows Harrison’s heroism?
After a tragic incident, Harrison was called to search for critical evidence believed to have been discarded. While he didn’t locate the item, his work helped disprove a suspect’s story, uncover the truth and ultimately lead to multiple arrests—showing how his nose doesn’t just seek justice, it helps deliver it.
