Baldwin is a devoted Hearing Dog trained by Paws With A Cause, giving his handler greater safety and independence. He alerts her to vital sounds—doorbells, alarms and emergency sirens—that his handler cannot hear. His heroic instincts shone when he detected a gas leak and led his handler to safety. When a gas burner was accidentally left on, Baldwin persistently nudged his owner and led them to the stove. While the danger went unnoticed by humans, he sensed it immediately. In that moment, Baldwin went from a hearing dog to a hero dog, showing extraordinary loyalty and purpose.
