Help Animals Like Rochee Heal from Unimaginable Cruelty

Rochee lay in a rural shelter for more than a week—his front leg shattered, his body in pain, and no one coming to help. There was no pain relief. No surgery. Just silent suffering.

Thanks to a compassionate volunteer and the lifesaving work of a local rescue group, Rochee was finally pulled from the shelter. But after consultations with three surgeons, the news was clear: his leg was too damaged to save. Amputation was the only option.

That’s where American Humane Society’s Second Chance® grant made all the difference.

With your support, we helped cover the cost of Rochee’s emergency surgery and medical care, giving him a chance at a life free from pain—and full of love. Now, Rochee is recovering in a foster home. He’s gentle, affectionate, and finally getting the care and kindness he’s always deserved.
