After Years in Combat, Boss Deserves to Come Home
Military Working Dog Boss spent years serving our country in some of the world’s most dangerous environments.
As a Patrol Explosive Detection Dog, Boss deployed to Iraq and later served overseas in Italy, working side by side with Sgt. Rebecca to detect explosives and protect American troops. Through long days, dangerous missions and years of service, they formed an extraordinary bond built on trust, loyalty and sacrifice.
Now, Boss’s military career has come to an end.
After seven years of service, arthritis and other medical issues have forced this combat dog into retirement. But instead of spending his retirement at home with the person he trusts most, Boss remains overseas in Italy, thousands of miles away from Sgt. Rebecca and the life waiting for him.
American Humane Society is actively working to bring Boss home. After everything he has done for our country, Boss deserves more than a retirement spent waiting. He deserves a homecoming.
