American Humane Society has launched its first-ever Direct Response Television (DRTV) campaign, highlighting our critical Pups4Patriots™ Program.
Through Pups4Patriots, we train dogs in need of forever homes to be lifesaving service dogs, offering them at no cost to veterans and retired first responders with Post-Traumatic Stress or Traumatic Brain Injury. Research shows that specially trained service dogs can reduce stress and anxiety levels, mitigate depression, ease social reintegration, provide comfort and restore confidence in affected veterans and first responders.
Pups4Patriots saves lives on both ends of the leash by expertly matching human and canine heroes to create win-win-win solutions meant to last.
U.S. Navy Veteran Kirsten had this to say about the Pups4Patriots program and her service dog, Ripley: “Following my military service, I found myself experiencing panic attacks and constantly feeling unsafe. Ripley gives me confidence and allows me to feel engaged in our community. I believe healing is a lifelong journey, and Ripley is a big part of that healing for me.”
The goal of our DRTV campaign is to increase awareness of the Pups4Patriots program and garner support of its mission to pair more veterans and first responders with lifesaving service dogs and create lifelong bonds.
The campaign features three veterans, Kris, Mike and Dottie, and stories of each transformative journey with the dogs who led them down a brighter path.
If you want to help veterans and first responders like Kris, Mike and Dottie, please consider supporting the Pups4Patriots program and help us spread awareness of the incredible impact of trained service dogs.
