Winter storms, freezing rain, and perilous conditions are no match for members of American Humane’s Rescue Team who have deployed at the request of local officials to help desperate dogs in need of saving from horrific puppy mill conditions and exposure to freezing cold temperatures that are ravaging much of the country.
Rescue Team members have traveled by car and plane from as far away as California and Massachusetts to set up a temporary emergency shelter where these helpless dogs, who are emaciated from hunger and riddled with parasites, will be cared for 24/7 and provided nourishing meals, medical treatment, and intensive TLC to bring them out of the nightmare scenario in which they were kept.
