Casey Decision-Making Guidelines

Field Test Sites

Project developers field-tested the decision-making Guidelines at five public- and private-sector child welfare agencies in rural, semi-rural, and urban settings. Frontline workers and supervisors at each site reported a high level of satisfaction with the Guidelines and found them:

  • Helpful for case planning
  • Useful for child and family assessment
  • Helpful for raising or illuminating case issues that they would not have considered otherwise
  • Well-written and clearly formatted
  • Useful for supervisory review
