American Humane's Training Institutes offer in-person training opportunities on child welfare initiatives and practices for the advancement of knowledge, skill mastery and application to the job. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in an active adult learning experience that reflects specific child welfare competencies and content designed to guide best practice.

Family Engagement - Father Involvement

American Humane is leading its first training institute on Family Engagement - Father Involvement, designed to help child welfare practitioners evaluate what family engagement means to them, how to infuse this value in good social work practice and ensuring that strategies and values are congruent in practice. Participants will also go beyond learning general strategies and experience practice opportunities on how to engage fathers, an often absent but vital stakeholder in child welfare. Outcomes of successful engagement of fathers and other key stakeholders will also be highlighted.
