Responsible for the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.  Maintains volunteer records and coordinates schedules for special events.  Part time, 20-30 hours per week. Requires processing applications, conducting orientations, arranging education opportunities for volunteers, conducting meetings, and seeking ways to improve the program. Requires ensuring that HSHA policies are consistently followed by volunteers.  Coordinator also oversees foster program. Organization, teamwork, and the ability to multi-task a must. Requires interacting with a variety of personalities.  Wage is hourly $10-$12/hour DOE. Requires High School Diploma, Associates Degree a plus. Requires a valid driver's license. Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of surgical and nursing care in surgery and all areas of medical services such as to anesthetize, prepare and monitor surgical patients; collect and process lab work and to  perform technical duties such as radiology, vaccinations and client education.  Active State Veterinary Technician License is required.
