Euthanasia By Injection

Whether you've never performed euthanasia or have years of experience with it, you should attend this comprehensive two-day seminar. Catch up on the latest techniques and drugs and discover their effect on animals. This workshop covers anesthetics, legend drugs, anatomy, verification of death, and worker safety. An entire section deals with the unique stress felt by those who perform euthanasia. During the hands-on section, you will see how to perform intravenous, intraperitoneal, and intracardiac injections, as well as gentle and humane restraint methods. (If attending this class, also consider attending the Managing Compassion Fatigue workshop, which is often offered the day after this workshop.)

Tuition: $220 ($187 for members). Includes two days of lectures and hands-on training; lunch on both days; a notebook containing an outline of the course, charts, illustrations, recommendations, and graphs; plus a certificate of completion upon passing the exam.

Scholarships are available for this class -- deadline is 30 days prior to class date unless otherwise noted.
