Euthanasia By Injection for Horses

It is never an easy decision to euthanize a horse. Emergency and nonemergency situations requiring euthanasia may present themselves at any time. This one-day class has become more critical than ever since the passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. Come and share concerns and solutions to this ever-present challenge of care and compassion for our equine population. Join our training class to not only become more aware of issues surrounding euthanasia for horses but to also become expert in administering sodium Pentobarbital to ease their suffering. Learn how and where to perform the injections as well as information on gentle and humane care. Participants must be certified euthanasia technicians.
