Keep Pets Inside the Car

When taking your dog on a car ride, make sure your pet rides completely inside the car just like everyone else in the family. Pets who ride with their head out the window and those relegated to the back of pick-up trucks are in danger of injury from dirt and debris flying off the roadway. That debris can embed itself in your pet’s eyes as well as their nostrils, ear canals, or throat. Common signs of injuries to the eyes include squinting, watering, tearing, redness or swelling. Keep your pet safe and secure inside the car with you.
