Handler Training

Learn about becoming a registered volunteer handler-animal therapy team. In this 16-hour, two-day course, you’ll discover how to safely deliver animal-assisted activities and animal-assisted therapy in assisted living centers, hospitals, schools, treatment centers and other facilities. Through lecture, group discussion, guest speakers and role playing, discover how to interact effectively with clients and keep your animal safe in all visiting situations.

This training is taught by experienced, licensed instructors. Pets do not attend this course.

Tuition: $175. Tuition covers the Handler Training course and the Team Evaluation.
