The Link of Violence

We examine, discuss and spread understanding about The Link® between violence to people and violence to animals in our continuing efforts to break the terrible cycle of abuse.

Animal-Assisted Therapy

Our trainings cover a range of activities associated with animal-assisted interventions -- from evaluating people and their pets to see if they have "the right stuff" to become an American Humane Animal-Assisted Therapy Team, to helping health-care professionals incorporate animal-assisted therapy into treatment approaches.

Humane Education

Humane educators, students, and professionals and volunteers who work with animals will gain useful information and skills that serve to protect animals and cultivate compassion and respect for all living things.

2009 Crimes Against Children National Conference
August 17-20, 2009

The 21st annual Crimes against Children Conference, co-sponsored by the Dallas Police and the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, will be in Dallas, Texas, at the Hyatt Regency. American Humane will be teaching, exhibiting and announcing its latest initiative.
