By joining the CareGivers Circle, you’ll receive the satisfaction and good feeling of supporting American Humane without having to initiate a contribution each time. No checks, no postage costs, no hassles!
Your monthly or quarterly gift provides American Humane with regular and reliable income to respond to unexpected disasters, expand our lifesaving programs, and plan for the future. At the same time, it helps us eliminate unnecessary appeals and requests, ensuring that more of each donation goes directly to our programs and services.
Simply authorize your credit card issuer to make a gift directly through your VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express credit card. Contribute monthly or quarterly, whichever is best for you. Read below to learn more about how it works, or call us at 1-866-242-1877.

How long does it take once I sign up?
Gifts will be charged to your credit card within a few days of submitting the secure online form.
Will my financial information be secure?
Yes. American Humane is committed to the highest standards of financial privacy protections. All electronic transfers of financial information are encrypted for your protection.
When will my subsequent contributions be charged to my credit card?
The amount you indicate will be charged to your credit card on the same day of the month that your initial gift was made. For example, if your first gift was made on the 10th of the month, subsequent gifts will be charged on the 10th as well.
What is the minimum amount I can give to be a CareGiver?
The minimum CareGiver contribution accepted is $5. There is no maximum amount.
What options for frequency of giving are available?
Caregivers can give monthly or quarterly.
Which credit cards can I use?
VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
What will I receive as a CareGiver?
As a CareGiver, you will receive an American Humane CareGivers Circle certificate as a token of our appreciation. In addition, you will receive American Humane's quarterly newsletter, Humane Review, filled with news from our headquarters in Colorado and regional offices in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.
Will I receive a reminder?
No. Our CareGivers have expressed that they prefer we direct their contributions toward American Humane's programs rather than the expense of additional mailings.
Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes. Your gift may be tax-deductible, and we will send you an e-mail that serves as a tax receipt immediately following each charge to your account.
How do I cancel or change my donation?
Log into the website and click on “Update Profile”, then on “Manage your donation information”. There you can easily discontinue gift payments and/or modify your gift amounts. You may also change your payment method by editing your credit card or bank information. For assistance, email us at info@americanhumane.org.
