For well over a century, American Humane Association and Congress have worked in partnership to champion the American values of compassion, caring and hope when it comes to promoting the well-being of our nation’s children. Together, we have worked to pass laws and implement programs to reduce cruelty and neglect. We have also strived to set policies that prioritize the basic tools children need – strong families and strong communities – to lead productive lives. We seek to renew and strengthen that partnership with our common-sense, nonpartisan report, What Children Need: The American Humane Association Children’s Agenda for the 112th Congress.
