Animal Shelter Disaster Preparedness

Is your organization ready? In the event of a disaster, can your shelter care for the animals and remain the primary animal care resource for your community? In this course, you’ll gain the skills to create and implement an effective disaster plan that fits into the larger disaster plan of your community, county, and state. This class is what you need to make sure your staff and volunteers are prepared!

Classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. If cancellation is necessary, AHA will use its best efforts to cancel at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start of the first training session and class registration fees will be refunded. Unfortunately, AHA cannot reimburse for travel expenses even if a class is cancelled. We encourage participants to consider this possibility when making travel arrangements.
